Happy Birthday to...ME!

So May 26th I had my 'Golden Birthday'
I turned 26 on the 26th

And here is what I did and some of my gifts!!

My BCF and our husbands went to a Brewer game. They played the cubs and they won! We stayed at a hotel in downtown Milwaukee. We went out for drinks and dinner afterwards. It's great because our husbands get along and of course we get along so well.

I had this shot called 'Rumchata'. OMG ladies, it was soooo good! It tastes like the bottom of a cinnamon toast crunch cereal bowl! Yum!

My husband got me this wonderful purse for my birthday (I kept eyeing it up every time we went to Kohl's ;) The Brewer game was also my gift from him

I got all the Seasons to my favorite show Parks and Rec. I will be watching these all over again this summer :)

I got the movie 'The Grey' from one of my sisters

My other sister got me a Target gift card and this is what I got:

Overall I had a great birthday. Blessed for all the facebook messages and gifts from family and friends! Thank you!!

New Blog Design!

Happy Friday everybody!

So I finally am live with my new blog design!
Felicity did a great job on my new design. She even created the owl on her own. I think it looks great! She asked me what I liked (font, style, colors, layout, etc) and created this wonderful masterpiece! I couldn't be any happier.
So i officially have a button now! So ladies we need to do some swappin! Ok or I'm just going to take your button, lol.

I realize I'm not in the top photo but my cousins, sisters, and I went to a really fun amusement park in Minnesota called 'Valley Fair'. It was so much fun. I have a love of roller coasters and so does my bcf Miranda so we went on every single roller coaster there multiple times!  I want to go back so bad!!

I am thankful for my puppies. Even though you bark and you drive me bananas sometimes, I love you both very much. I try to make sure you are always happy and healthy.

I am thankful for my job. Even though I get tired of working every other weekend and working 12 hour shifts, I am grateful that I have a good income and can provide for my husband and I.

I am thankful for the blogging world. I never would have guessed all the wonderful people I would get to know on here. I even get to guest post next week Tuesday for someone! woo hoo.

I am thankful for my mother. Whenever I need someone to cry too she is always a phone call away and seems to always make me feel better!

I am thankful for all of my wonderful friends. Without you ladies I don't know how I could live somedays!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!

 

Doing the nail files today. Enlight of going to a Milwaukee Brewer game tomorrow I painted my nails blue and yellow!!

 

 

I tried the 'crackle' by OPI...the yellow is on bottom and the blue is on top. I don't know how I feel about it yet. A coworker of mine saw it and said 'I think you need to repaint our nails' I tried explaining thats how they are supposed to look! lol.

 

Anywho's that's it here. I'm getting ready for a GREAT weekend with my BCF and some great food, drinks, and fun times!

 

 

 

Blah Blah Blah

So only 2 of you guessed on my 2 truths 1 lie post yesterday. lol. the 2 of you that guessed...got it right! I have never been to Tennessee. I thought I would trick you all! Guess not!

So recently I have been watching the show 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' I have to say...I am not enjoying it at all. I've watched it from the beginning and it's just not working for me! Anyone else watch it? Do you like it?

Have you ever heard of Origami Owl?  I just recently discovered it and am in the process of making my own charm necklace!!

I feel like the weekend can't come soon enough!!

Two Truths & A Lie

I'm so excited! I found someone to redo my blog! She said it would hopefully be done by the 20th!

Fill In The Blank Friday

Now if I wasn't working this entire weekend I would be super excited for the weekend! Anywho, it's time for 'Fill in the blank Friday'

Side note, loving the chevron style in the background above.

1. My bedtime routine includes, taking my eyeballs out, putting glasses on, brushing teeth, laying in bed playing on the ipad for a little bit, talking to the husband, and then off to bed! .

2. I am super pumped for next weekends brewer game with my bcf!

3. I can't stand  slow drivers     because   they make 2 lanes. If you are driving slower then the rest use the right lane and let others use the left lane! There is a reason for 2 lanes!

4. My idea of relaxation would be spending some QT on the beach on an "off" day where you practically have it to yourself, book in hand, cold drink, feet in the water!

5. If I had an extra $50, I would buy some clothes...let's be real here!

6. The best thing about a bloggy friend is    easy to get along with and surprisingly have a lot in common with some of them!

7. A recipe I've been dying to try is   No bake mini cheesecake bites. They look like heaven!

Thursday Randomness

Happy Thursday everybody!

Time for some Thursday randomness brought to you by me.

Just got done with a Dr. appointment that went rather well. I must say I love my regular Dr. she is super nice and gets me in and out.

Stopped at good ol Walmart and did some grocery shopping. While buying bloody marry ingredients for my Brewer game/birthday party I felt the need to buy 2 of everything. It's noon on a Thursday and I am drinking a bloody marry with ALL the fixings. I realize this makes me sound like an alcoholic but I today is my day off and I'm not doing anything else! I assure you this isn't an everyday occurrence ;)

I had my first professional massage yesterday courtesy of my wonderful husband. He got me a gift card awhile ago and I finally decided to use it. O.M.G. why I didn't use it earlier I have no idea! It was PURE heaven! The hour went by so fast!! The place was so calming and relaxing!

I am currently listening to Pandora. I put in 90's pop radio N'sync' I want you back'  and I am in love with this station! Good songs!

Oh now Christina Aguliera's Genie In a Bottle is on!

makes me wonder what happened to my cd's?

It's currently thunder storming here and my dog Willow hates thunderstorms! He feels the need to cry and bark every time he here's a crackle of thunder. Anyone else's dog do this?

Well that's it here. I had other things I was going to write and I totally forgot them all. I'm always thinking about things to blog about but then when it comes time to do so...I can't remember?! Happy Thursday...weekend is almost here!

I was trying to think of what I could do for 'Top 5' and then BAM it hit me. What do I love? Movies. Perfect. I will do my 'Top 5, older movie choices"

1.) Never Been Kissed. I think my best friend and I watched this movie every weekend together!

2.) My Best Friends Wedding.

Love this movie. Laugh every time and always sing along at the dinner lobster scene :)

3.) Sense & Sensibility

I remember watching this movie with my mom when I was younger. A girls night on a Friday and I fell in love with it! I cry every time when Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson finally get together!

 
4.) Good Will Hunting



When I see this movie now a days I always think, wow Matt Damon and Ben Affleck look so young! Such a great movie. I think Matt Damon did a really good job and was deserving of his academy award that year!

5.) Philadelphia




No matter what your view on gay rights is...everyone should watch this movie. I have never felt so moved by a movie as this one. My husband and I were dating at the time and he asked me to watch it with him. He said I would really like it. I did, and I bawled like a baby! Tom Hanks did an AMAZING job! Highly recommend this movie!!
