First Time Nail File

The Nail Files

First time doing the nail files. I refuse to show a picture of my nails because I painted them like a 4th grader would. lol.

But I chose the color: Big Splender by Essie

It's very spring like. I've nevere really painted my nails bright colors. I usually go with dark colors but I thought I would go out of my comfort zone! I really like it!
What colors do you like/recommend?
Have a great weekend ladies! I will be back on Monday with an award I received from my fellow blogger Barbie

Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

I hope all you ladies had a great weekend! Just going to give a little recap. Sorry I've been bad on the blogging, I was just being lazy ;)

Friday I went with some friends to a place called Cedarburg. We went to a winery, did some wine tasting, and checked out all the little shops. I'm in love with this city! It's so cute. They have cobble stone sidewalks and cute little shops.

I fell in love with this new wine called 'La Belle V' of course I had to purchase some :)

Saturday we went to go see the movie 'The Hunger Games' of course it was excellent!

*Spoiler Alert* if you haven't read the book I'm about to revile a part!! I cried when Rue died..this movie stayed very close to the book!!

Sunday I had to work, did lots of inventory of jail property. Got the joy of going through inmate underwear, socks, and bras! Also got to see the some episodes of the show Entourage. It's actually pretty funny and the episodes are only a half hour long.

Well that's how my weekend went! What did you guys do? I have the entire week off with my husband! Tomorrow we are going to IKEA and the Mall of America. I can't wait!!

Book. Movies. St. Patty's

Last night I finished reading Ellen's book

'Seriously I'm Kidding'. Overall I thought it was funny, really no flow to it but I think she just wanted a book to make people laugh and that it did. I literally laughed out loud. After finishing this book I didn't waste any time and jumped right in to the next book I've wanted to read. 'Sing You Home' by Jodi Picoult

I'm only on page 65 right now but already it is great! Within the first 10 pages I had a tear streaming down my face. (Probably not the greatest book for me to read when I am going through fertility issues myself;) however I can't put this book down! So far so good, I can't wait to read more tonight!

Last night I also watched the movie 'Like Crazy'. Total chick flick.

however, the ending was horrible. I thought my DVD player cut out but know it just ended. I really wish they would have changed the ending. I will say no more because I would hate to spoil it for those of you who still want to see it!

I asked my husband if on Friday we could go see 21 Jumpstreet.

This movie looks so funny. So far it has gotten good ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. The husband said we could go as long as we go to the 4:15 showing. That way he can be home for his NCAA games. Seriously the husband is a die hard March Madness fan. As we speak we have brackets filled out and is recording the Wisconsin and Marquette games. (I do hope the Badgers win!)

At last but not least St. Patty's day. I'm going out to the bars with some of my besties. However I can't seem to find anything St. Patty's day/green to wear. Meh. Any suggestions? I have a green tshirt with a little pink heart on it. As of right now, that is my only option!

This is cute
No way in hell!!

Happy Thursday everybody!

Top 5 Television Tuesday

Just Peachy

Linking up with Just Peachy for my first Top 5 Tuesday

So I thought that I would do my top 5 TV shows that are currently on. There are plenty of TV shows that are not on the air that I still watch. That will have to be for a different day I suppose!

1. Dexter

I started watching this show at the start of Season 4. I borrowed the first 3 seasons from my cousin and I loved it! It's on showtime. My husband and I will purchase showtime for 3 months while this show is on just so we can watch it!  The series centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a blood spatter pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer. It will be starting it's 7th season in October!

2. House Hunters

I record all the new episodes! I think it's really fun to pick which house at the end they are going to go with. (Most of the time I'm wrong) it's the one they seem to hate the most! I love that they go to all different cities and have different budgets. While I'm watching I imagine that it's me purchasing the home and thinking where I would put all my stuff. My favorite part of the houses are the kitchens! This show is on HGTV. (An addicting channel btw)

3. Breaking Bad

If you do not watch this show you should! It is addicting! Informed he has terminal cancer, an underachieving chemistry genius turned high school chemistry teacher turns to using his expertise in chemistry to provide a legacy for his family... by producing the world's highest quality crystal meth. I truly believe this is one of the greatest TV shows of all time. The way they ended this last season left my mouth dropped. I just kept saying 'Oh my God' over and over. It is SOOOO good!!

4. Modern Family

Talk about a funny show! The first season was/is by far my favorite. This show explores the many different types of a modern family through the stories of a gay couple, comprised of Mitchell and Cameron, and their daughter Lily, a straight couple, comprised of Phil and Claire, and their three kids, Haley, Alex, and Luke, and a multicultural couple, which is comprised of Jay and Gloria, and their son Manny. For Christmas I got my husband a calender that for each day has a quote from the show. My favorite characters would have to be Phil and Cam.

5. Teen Mom 1 & 2

I know I know I know. It's one of my guilty pleasure shows. This show is pretty self explanatory. It's about teenagers who become Mom's. My husband claims he 'hates this show' however when I have it on I find him sitting down and watching it ;) I feel in the 2 shows there is always one that you don't like it. Teen Mom is Amber and Teen Mom 2 is Janelle. I call them the 'hot messes' of the show. lol. Some people say that it glamorizes being a 'Teen Mom' but I don't think it does. It really shows them struggling with money, school, relationships, etc.

Ok ladies, those are my top 5! What are yours? Do you watch any of the shows I mentioned above?

Fun Photo Friday

Today I am linking up with Shannon over at Page Twenty-Two for Fun Photo Fridays

If I could go back in time to any photo it would be:

This is when the Packers won the Super Bowl last year. Oh what a happy day that was. My in-laws came up for the day. They took us out to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Then we came back and celebrated my husbands birthday. I was a nervous wreck the entire game. The Packers managed a win and I hate to admit it but I got teary eyed when they won. My husband and his Dad sweated through their clothes. During the game I had to tell them to keep sitting down or moving because they would stand right in front of the TV!

Also, on a side note. I would like to take the time to address this Bully issue.

Above is the link for a petition to sign to have the mpaa change the rating of the documentary/movie 'Bully' from 'R' to 'PG-13' How can they get a message across to the target audience if they aren't allowed to see it? Please girls, I need your help. This is a cause dear to my heart, it takes 30 seconds to sign!!
Have a great weekend girls!!
PS) Going to a Jodi Picoult book signing on Saturday! (I can't believe I get to meet her!!!)

It's Ok Thursday

Linking up with A Complete Waste of Makeup for It's Ok Thursday

...it's ok that Brent has Parent Teacher Conferences tonight (a little time to myself)

...it's ok that Brent thinks he doesn't have to use mouth wash before PTC because he will eat Thin Mint cookies (I convinced him otherwise)

...it's ok that my 'goal' today is to finish Season 1 of 'Six Feet Under'

...it's ok that I really want to go shopping today but am going to hold back because we are going to the mall of America in a few weeks
