Weekend Recap & DIY Projects!

What a weekend I had ladies! Hopefully yours was better then mine!

Let's start out with work. What a busy weekend in the jail! The amount of bookings was ricdicoulous! OWI's, Domestics, Warrants, Probation Holds, etc. Thank goodness the weekend is over!

Then on my way home from work Saturday I came across a vehicle on the interstate flipped upside down! I am required by law (corrections officer) to stop if no one is around. So I make a u-turn and pull up to where the vehicle is. There is a young boy standing next to the vehicle. I ask him if he was all right and he said yes. I said what happened and he said he was 'texting' while driving. I didn't believe it. I could smell the alchohol radiating from him. 2 county sheriff deputies showed up and I helped them get the boy out of the ditch and over the fence. They performed field sobriety test on him and he fails. He PBT'D .19. Twice the legal limit. He was placed under arrest for OWI and was taken to jail. What a crazy night!

Now if my weekend couldn't get any worse I got into a huge fight with my best friend of 13 years...and I am pretty sure we are no longer friends. (she has deleted me off fb, blogging, etc) I will not get in to all the petty details but lets just say she called me some horrible names, said even more awful things, attacked my demeanor and my cousin who means the world to me. As sad as I am that we are no longer friends I think it's for the best. I don't need negative people in my life. Especially those you can take such low blows as to who you are.

Soooo after all of that I decided to focus on myself and my loved ones and do some DIY pinterest projects! Here are some I plan on doing tonight and tomorrow!

  3. Geez, that's so rough! I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I can't believe that kid was drunk and driving. I say that all the time but people do it all the time and I don't get it. It makes me so mad.
